Event management, end to end. A complete event-management SaaS — superadmin and admin roles, customer registrations, OTP login, and Chapa-powered ticketing.
What we built for Guzo.
Guzo lets organisers publish events, sell tickets, validate at the gate, and run their entire customer lifecycle from one dashboard. Built on Next.js 14 with Prisma + Neon Postgres, NextAuth, Chapa for payments, and AfroMessage for SMS/OTP.
The problem
Event organisers were stitching together Eventbrite, manual SMS lists, and spreadsheets — losing money on fees, missing payments, and having no real grip on the attendee experience.
Our solution
A unified platform with role-based dashboards (superadmin → admin → customer), Chapa checkout in local currency, AfroMessage OTP for phone-first auth, and unique QR-coded tickets validated by gate staff.

Every feature is engineered to be observable, type-safe, and measurable in production.
Superadmin bootstrap
A one-time secret bootstraps the first super admin; afterwards the endpoint refuses the secret automatically.
Email or phone login
Customers sign up with either, verify via OTP, and can opt into 2FA for sensitive actions.
Chapa checkout
Native Ethiopian Birr checkout via Chapa with verified webhooks and idempotent order handling.
QR ticketing
Every paid registration produces a unique code + QR ticket validated at the gate via a scanning portal.
Admin content
Admins manage events, blog posts, hero media, and pricing tiers without touching code.
AfroMessage SMS
Bulk SMS for event reminders, password resets, and OTP — with delivery receipts and rate caps.
