What we built for LomiFlix Studios.
LomiFlix is a Netflix-grade streaming experience built native — React Native with custom video controls, watch progress, downloads, and a Supabase backend. Monetisation runs on Google Mobile Ads with a clean upgrade path to a paid tier.
The problem
Existing streaming apps in the region were sluggish, ad-heavy in the wrong places, and had no path for emerging creators to upload directly. The team wanted a polished native app that punches above its weight without an enterprise budget.
Our solution
A React Native app with a custom video player, smart ad placement (interstitials only between episodes), Supabase storage with signed URLs, and a creator portal that handles uploads, transcoding hooks, and metadata.

Persisted Redux store with redux-persist keeps the home reel snappy even on flaky connections.
